BIR events

The flagship events BIR students run for each other, year after year.

Last updated: 23 July 2026

BIR has a rhythm of events that different year groups run for each other.

BIR the Future

A camp run by BIR freshmen for high-schoolers interested in joining BIR, usually running two days. It gives prospective students a look at BIR before they apply.

BIR Open House

Run by sophomores, aimed mainly at high-schoolers considering BIR and their parents, to help them decide whether BIR is the right fit.

BIR the Newbies

A one-to-two-day welcome event run by sophomores for incoming BIR freshmen, with activities for new students to get to know each other before the semester starts.

BIR Byenior

A farewell event for graduating seniors, with live music from BIR students, a night party, and activities to close out the year. All year groups are welcome, not just graduating seniors.

And more through the year

Beyond the flagship events, look out for BIR Movie Day, BIR Seminar, and BIR Sports throughout the year.

Dates and sign-ups are announced on News and BIRSA's socials.
