Student bodies you can run for

The ladder of elected student bodies open to BIR students, from BIRSA up to Thammasat-wide.

Last updated: 23 July 2026

BIRSA is not the only elected student body you are eligible for. There is a ladder of elected student bodies open to BIR students, at four levels: your programme, your faculty, your campus, and the university as a whole.

LevelBodies you can run for
BIR (programme level)BIRSA (the BIR Student Association) and BIR class councils
Singhadang (the Faculty of Political Science)The Political Science Students' Committee and class councils
TPC (Tha Prachan Campus)TUSU TPC and TUSC TPC, the campus branches of the university student union and council
TU (Thammasat University, all campuses)TUSU, TUSC, and ECTU

TUSU is the Thammasat University Student Union, TUSC is the Thammasat University Student Council, and ECTU is the Election Commission of Thammasat University. Each has its own scope and processes at the university level.

Running for any of these represents BIR students beyond BIRSA itself. See Officer roles for what BIRSA's own committee positions involve, or Getting involved for other ways to get started.
