How to run in the BIR18 Student Council election 2026

The future of BIR18 starts with you. BIR Student Association (BIRSA) has set the timeline for the BIR18 Student Council election, and every BIR18 first-year student can apply.
Who can apply
You can apply if you are currently studying in the BIR programme as a first-year student in Batch 18 (ID 69).
Positions available
- BIR18 Class President (1 position)
- Rangsit Coordinator (1 position)
- Tha Prachan Coordinator (1 position)
- Other Committee Members (no more than 3 positions)
What the council does
- Plans BIR18's activities and takes responsibility for running them.
- Represents BIR18 students, carries their suggestions forward, and proposes how the council itself should work.
- Works with BIRSA and the other year groups' councils wherever that makes sense.
- Works with the Faculty of Political Science's Class 78 Student Council to share information and run joint activities.
The council should also set aside a few of its members to help run joint activities with the Class 78 Student Council at the Rangsit campus.

Election rules
Candidates and their parties must not
- threaten, intimidate, or use violence against voters
- give money or gifts to win votes, though ordinary campaign materials such as posters and banners are fine
- insult or defame candidates from other parties
- spread false claims about other candidates
- damage election property or another candidate's property
- campaign jointly with parties running in the Faculty's Class 78 Student Council election
BIRSA warns candidates first, and disqualifies anyone who repeats a breach or commits a serious one.
How to apply
- Download the application form from BIRSA's Google Drive folder (opens in a new tab). The QR code on BIRSA's Instagram announcement goes to the same form.
- Email your completed form to birstudentassociation@gmail.com. Your application counts as submitted only once BIRSA has received it.
Applications close on 14 August 2026.
