These answers come from the BIR office's frequently asked questions page. The 2.80 GPAX in the first answer applies to TCAS 3.

The BIR office publishes the official answers at birpolsci.com (opens in a new tab). Rules can change, so check that page before you apply.

My school cannot issue all 6 semesters of grades in time. What can I do?

This applies to TCAS 3. You have two ways to show your grades.

  1. During the application period, send your grades for 5 semesters, with a minimum GPA of 2.80, and your student status certificate (ปพ.7).
  2. By the interview date, send your ปพ.1 showing your graduation date and a GPA of not less than 2.80.

If you meet neither condition, the programme may reject your application.

I did a one year exchange programme. Which documents do I send?

Send the document issued by your Thai school. The programme considers that document. If you took the exchange year in high school, you must have a pass in all subjects.

Can I send documents in Thai?

Yes. The BIR office accepts documents in Thai or English.

How do I confirm my place if I am successful?

Confirm on myTCAS (opens in a new tab), following the TCAS round for your admission round. Inter-Portfolio 1 and 2 are joint direct admission rounds of Thammasat University's international programmes. They follow the university calendar. You confirm with TCAS in the Portfolio round for Inter-Portfolio 1 and the Quota round for Inter-Portfolio 2.

You must not have confirmed your right to a place in any other round.

Do I take my documents to the faculty after I apply on myTCAS?

No. You send them online. The English FAQ says to use a Google Form or email. The Thai FAQ says to use a Google Form. If you are unsure, ask the BIR office.

Can I send my English test score after I apply?

No. You need a valid score that meets the criteria on the day you apply. It must be no more than 2 years old. Read English tests and school qualifications.

My GED total is above 660 but one subject is below 165. Can I apply?

No. The minimum is 165 in each subject. If any subject is below 165, you do not meet the criteria.

My GED results are not ready by the deadline. Can I send the scores I have?

No. You must have finished all the subject tests and hold the official certification. This is the GED Official Transcript and the High School Equivalency Credential Certificate.
