How you're graded

You're graded according to Thammasat University's Grade Point system, as set out below.

GradePoints
A4.0
B+3.5
B3.0
C+2.5
C2.0
D+1.5
D1.0
F0

Depending on the course, grading will be done through a combination of mid-term and final exams, papers, presentations and class participation. Attendance is mandatory, and you have to attend at least 80% of classes in order to pass. The specific rules on grading and attendance may vary from one course to another, so check the course syllabus or ask your instructor at the start of each term.

All grades you receive count towards your cumulative GPA. The exception is certain courses graded "S" for satisfactory and "U" for unsatisfactory: these results do not count towards your GPA.
