Course description

This course discusses the concept of strategic management and its application to government agencies, state enterprises, autonomous organisations, and other public entities. The class introduces students to strategic management tools; such as the organisational mission statement, SWOT analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. Using a comparative approach, the course will highlight how organisations from different sectors and countries interpret and apply these strategic management concepts and tools.
