Exchange programme
Thammasat University has established partnerships with a variety of prestigious universities in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, which BIR students can visit for a semester or a whole year of exchange.
The Faculty of Political Science also has exchange programmes open only to Political Science students. These include LMU Munich in Germany, Halmstad University in Sweden, and Nottingham Trent University in England. Check the BIR website and BIR staff for the complete, current list of exchange partners.
Students typically complete their international exchange during the third year of BIR studies.

Conferences and seminars
In addition to their regular coursework, students can attend a number of conferences and seminars that are held at irregular intervals, such as the yearly student organised conference on topics of Politics and International Relations, or the Diplomatic Forum at Thammasat (DFAT), which offers the chance of experiencing first-hand contact with seasoned diplomatic personnel.
BIR field trip
BIR provides an annual field trip for third-year students. Students visit people and places to observe and gain knowledge on International Relations and Development, especially in Southeast Asian countries.
Past destinations include Taiwan and Turkey.
Bangkok International Student Conference (BISC)
The Bangkok International Student Conference, or BISC, is an annual educational conference open to undergraduate and graduate students to explore various academic concepts and perceptions at the global level.
