Paying
Registration payments are made through the TU Greats app, using your TU username. The registration announcement for each semester sets the payment deadline. See Registering, adding and dropping courses.
If you cannot pay by the deadline, see Deferring payment.
Refunds
You can claim a refund if you dropped a course and did not register for another course in its place.
- Download the refund request form from the BIR tuition refund page (opens in a new tab).
- Take a screenshot from TU REG that shows the course was dropped.
- Email both files to bir@tu.ac.th with the subject "Tuition Fee Refund Request" and the semester. Give your name, student ID and phone number.
The request must reach the BIR office within 7 days after you drop the course in TU REG. The office does not accept late requests.
The student card is also a Bangkok Bank card, and refunds are paid to the linked account once it is activated. See Opening a bank account.
W grades and refunds
- A course dropped in the first 14 days of a regular semester, or the first 7 days of summer, leaves no record.
- A course withdrawn after that, up to the end of week 10 of a regular semester or week 4 of summer, shows a W. A W does not affect your GPA. It does not qualify for a refund.
- A later withdrawal needs the Dean's approval.
Deferring payment
Ask the BIR office, which decides deferrals case by case. Other sources of money are in Scholarships, loans and hardship help.
