Parliamock.TU
A simulated Thai Parliament, run by students for high school participants.
Parliamock.TU (รัฐสภาจำลอง) is a simulated environment built to give young people hands-on experience of how legislation moves through the Thai Parliament.
Every participant takes a role that reflects a real responsibility in a democratic system: Members of Parliament, the Government, the Opposition, parliamentary committees, and the media. They then have to develop policy and submit draft bills to the simulated parliament for consideration, and live with what the chamber does to them.
As a member of Parliamock, you help run the camp rather than take part in it. Participants are high school students.
What members do
- Prepare the programme for the upcoming recruitment of high school students
- Advise the simulated political parties, and design the electoral and parliamentary systems the simulation runs on
- Facilitate and coordinate activities for junior participants throughout the camp
- Help participants understand and learn about Thailand's political system
The role is relevant experience for anyone interested in Thai politics, public policy, or teaching, and it applies constitutional material from the degree in front of an audience that has not studied it.
