PI349: Information Technology Management in the Public Sector

Course description

This course focuses on the application of information systems concepts and tools to cover various aspects of information technology management in the public sector. This includes a broad overview of challenges, disruptions, risks, and opportunities created by information technology, as well as the application of information systems to cope with those emerging events in the public sector. Topics covered may include current trends and problems in information systems, managerial use of information systems, strategic and policy issues in IS, and impacts of technology to the structure and functions of government.
