Clubs and BIRSA events

How to join#

Message the club through its Instagram account, or go to a BIRSA event. BIR students can join clubs at any level, in BIR, at Tha Prachan or across Thammasat.

BIR clubs#

BIR students run 12 clubs. See the BIR club directory for how to contact each one.

• ASA IR runs student volunteer camps.
• BIRify is a podcast and Kien Club is a writers' club.
• The music club is BIR Music Club.
• The sport and games clubs are BIR Basketball, BIR Football, BIR Volleyball, BIR Esports Club and BIR CardGame Club.
• Three clubs run simulations. TU MUN simulates United Nations bodies, Parliamock.TU simulates the Thai Parliament and BIR Mock Fund (IAIC) simulates an investment fund.

Tha Prachan clubs and groups#

Tha Prachan Campus (TPC) has clubs (ชุมนุม) and independent groups (กลุ่มอิสระ). Both are open to any student on campus. Some do similar things under different names.

BIRSA events#

BIRSA announces dates and sign-ups on News and on Instagram at @student_birsa (opens in a new tab).

• BIR the Future is a camp for high school students who may join BIR.
• BIR Open House is for high school students and parents deciding on BIR.
• BIR the Newbies welcomes incoming first years before the semester starts.
• BIR Byenior is a farewell event for graduating students. All year groups may go.
• BIR Movie Day, BIR Seminar and BIR Sports run through the year.

Volunteering#

• ASA IR and the Tha Prachan Volunteer Club run volunteer camps. Follow their Instagram accounts for applications.
• BIRSA opens sub-committee recruitment each year and announces it on News. Many BIRSA activities also rely on volunteers and short term helpers around specific events. To help before a recruitment opens, contact a current committee member through Contact BIRSA.
